Microsoft Power Automate: Automation in a Day

Automation in a Day is an introductory training session aimed at individuals interested in learning how to automate tasks using Power Automate. Whether you are a business professional or an IT developer, this hands-on workshop will guide you through building digital process automation (DPA) within a single day, utilizing cloud flows. 

Microsoft Power Automate, a component of the Low-code Microsoft Power Platform, empowers users to automate a wide variety of workflows and processes. The platform includes numerous connectors, enabling seamless integration with Microsoft Dataverse applications as well as external cloud-based and on-premises solutions. Throughout the workshop, participants will gain practical experience with Power Automate, Power Platform, and utilizing it in Microsoft 365.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand the core strengths and functionalities of Power Automate.
• Differentiate the relevant terminology used in automation.
• Design automation processes within Power Automate.
• Create automated, scheduled, and instant Power Automate flows.
• Utilize existing connectors and explore the use of custom connectors in flows.
• Share Power Automate flows securely within an organization.
• Recognize the potential for non-cloud flows through desktop flows.

Prerequesities:

Attendees should come prepared to follow along and build Power Automate workflows as presenters walk through topics.

• In-person only, no online session
• Each attendee will need to bring their own PC
• Each attendee will need to have completed the setup steps on their PC prior to the course (setup steps will be sent in the days leading up to the event)
