PharmTox Society UCD is a society for students and staff of Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Genetics and Biochemistry in the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Sciences.

Pharmtox and Microsoc are delighted to have collaborated together to announce details of an exciting event, kindly sponsored by the British Pharmacological Society, to be held on Thursday 4th April entitled:
Microbiome: Management and Manipulation
We will be pleased to hear from 4 wonderful speakers, who are experts in the microbiome field:

Assistant Professor Sinead Corr (Department of Microbiology, Trinity College Dublin) will speak about: "Gut Microbiome-Immune system crosstalk in health & disease"

Dr. Harriet Schellekens (Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience, University College Cork) who will present on: "A Microbiome Menu: The microbiota-gut-brain axis at the interface of appetite, food and mood"
</LI>
<LI>
Dr. Alan Hoban (Anatomy and Neuroscience, University College Dublin) whose presentation title is: "Strategies For Investigating The Impact of the Gut Microbiota on Brain and Behavior"
</LI>
<LI>
Dr. Amine Zorgani (Nuritas) who will speka about: "The use of AI in developing Novel Anti-Microbial therapies."
</LI>
</UL>
Join us for an evening of interactive discussion on Thursday 4th April 2019 from 6pm - 7:30pm in the Fitzgerald Debating Chamber (UCD Student Centre)
