Seating is first come first serve.The Calgary Sun calls Michael Tarbox “the most evocative blues-roots artist to come down the pike in ages.” They got that right. Tarbox is the real deal – a smokey-voiced singer steeped in blues and hillbillly music going way back, whose songs –– about love, loss and life’s other side ­–– have an immediacy and eye for detail that let you know he’s been there. His band, The Tarbox Ramblers, backed Robert Plant and Alison Krauss in their first live appearance together. As a solo performer Tarbox has opened for Van Morrison and John Mayall.
