2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Ombudsman for Children’s Office (OCO). To mark this milestone Mary Immaculate College (MIC) Thurles and the OCO are partnering for this year’s summer school to shine a light on student voice.
The theme of year’s summer school is how children’s voices have changed the landscape of education and participation over the past twenty years.
The Summer School will hear directly from children, explore research and offer the opportunity to discuss consulting children and voices from edge. The Summer School will bring together educators, policy makers, student representatives, researchers, academics, and NGOs from Ireland and abroad.
