Sign-ups for Open Mic will start at 6pm during registration. All interested attendees must sign up for the open mic by 7pm. Performance time may be limited due to interest and time.

Introducing First Friday MIC CHECK open mic night! Happening the 1st Friday of every month (starting 12/1) at Free Arts at Parsons Place in uptown Phoenix from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The purpose of this event is to create a brave and creative space for young adults ages 18-26 that have experienced homelessness or had childhood connections to social service agencies. For young adults to experience the arts, culture, belonging, and a sense of their own humanity through community-based learning and creative expression. This program is produced by Free Arts - Young Adult Empowerment Program that is dedicated to transforming trauma into resilience through the arts.

Free Arts Mission is to transform children's trauma to resilience through the arts.

Free Arts Vision is that every child who has experienced the trauma of abuse, neglect, and/or homelessness has access to resilience-building arts programs and caring adult volunteer mentors.

The vision of the Young Adult Empowerment Program is for every young adult that has experienced trauma to use resilience-building arts programs to create strong community connections and discover meaning and purpose in who they are and what they do in the world.
