Attend this multimodality cardiovascular imaging conference to learn current principles, techniques, risks and limitations of different imaging modalities. Presenters are leading cardiovascular imaging physicians, clinicians and technologists from the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Purpose 

  • To improve the outcomes and quality of life in the cardiovascular population through ongoing research and proven techniques utilizing cardiovascular imaging modalities.

  • Advocating for the field’s continued expansion through communication within our cardiology, radiology and nursing communities;

  • Dedicated to the goals of outreach and education for technologists and medical support staff.

  • Cultivating close working relationships within our cardiology and radiology communities.

  • Moving forward this conference will advocate for education and clinical excellence improved patient care.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Explain the modern principles, techniques, risks and limitations of different cardiovascular imaging modalities.

  2. Describe the roles different cardiovascular imaging modalities play in diagnosing and evaluating treatment of cardiac sarcoidosis, amyloidosis and valve disorders as well as explain the advantages and limitations of each modality.

  3. Describe the decision-making process utilized in determining the appropriate cardiac testing for patients.

Who Should Attend

Cardiovascular techs, CT techs, echo techs, MR techs, nuclear techs, PET techs, radiology techs, vascular techs, nurses, exercise physiologists, and any related providers interested in learning more about cardiovascular imaging.

Activity approved by ASRT for 5.75 Category A credits.

Most radiologic technology registries recognize Category A or A+ credits for renewal requirements, including ARRT, NMTCB, MDCB and ARDMS. Please check with your accrediting organization if you are concerned.

PLEASE NOTE: Certificates of attendance for continuing education credit will be distributed at the end of the conference. To receive credit, you must attend the entire conference.

Nurses and other Health Care Professionals
This activity has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements. However, the nurse is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.

Individuals representing other professional disciplines may submit summit the Certificate of Attendance distributed at the conference to their respective professional associations for continuing education credit.
