Please arrive at Rowes Wharf at 9am so we can get you checked in and ready for boat boarding! We're NOT The only group that will be on the boat that morning, so there will be lots of people to check ...

Boat Boarding!

It's time to Board! You MUST be checked in to board the boat, so PLEASE arrive BEFORE 9:30 so we know we will depart on time!

We'll gather for a quick group picture to commemorate our time on the island and then we will board the boat back to Boston!

Welcome to the MetroWest Writers' Guild Georges Island Write-in and Writer Social! Join us on Sun, Jun 02, 2024 at 9:00 AM for a day of creativity and community on beautiful Georges Island. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow writers, get inspired by the stunning surroundings, and get a few words on the page while you're out and about! Bring your notebook, laptop, a water bottle, and a snack! We'll have special surprises to help make the day fun, interesting, and inspirational!

This is a FREE event, but you need to REGISTER so we know how many people to expect! Furthermore--this event requires a (FREE) ferry ride to Georges Island! So check-in for boarding will begin at 9:00am and boarding will begin at 9:30am. Departure is PROMPTLY at 10am! Be sure you get on the boat or you'll miss out! Never been on a boat before? Get a little sea sickness? No problem! Pack some pressure-point wristbands (they are surprisingly effective!) or bring your own medicine just in case!

We're meeting at Rowes Wharf at the Seaport in Boston! Take the T! It's a 10 minute walk from South Station (Red + Silver lines) or Aquarium Station (Blue line).

The MetroWest Writers' Guild provides classes, support groups, workshops, retreats, and writing time for writers living in MetroWest Massachusetts and beyond. We support writers who write in different genres, are at different levels of craft, who write for the joy of it, and for those who are seeking publication. We're a community that teaches each other and offers opportunities for writing instructors who are starting out. You don't have to live in Massachusetts to enjoy our community and programming! The majority of our content is online--including our two retreats a year and all of our classes. We get together for socials 4 times a year in MetroWest area.
