TheCenter for Gender and Sexuality Law's mission is to formulate new approaches to complex issues facing gender and sexual justice movements.The Center for Gender and Sexuality Law has established Columbia Law School as the preeminent law school for the study of and specialization in the law of gender and sexuality.  Interested students will find at Columbia rich and diverse course offerings, the nation’s firstSexuality and Gender Law Clinic, the opportunity to publish scholarship inGSL Online, and manyfacultywhose teaching and scholarship focus on an array of problems in the domains of sexuality and gender.

This event is free and open to the public.
Columbia Law School Professors Katherine Franke, Olatunde Johnson, Kendall Thomas and Melissa Murray will discuss the #MeToo movement in this timely event: 
* Does the #MeToo moment signal a radical shift in social tolerance for sexual harassment/assault? 
* In what ways might a phenomenon started on social media have effects in the law? 
* Is there any merit to the concern that #MeToo has gone too far by triggering a sex panic? 
* What are the racial underpinnings/implications of #MeToo? 
* Does #MeToo have any purchase in the law school as a working/learning environment?
