8-Part Series Workshop

Date: Thursdays, June 6-August 1, 2024 (no class July 4)

Time: 6pm-9pm

Description: Take your metalsmithing skills to the next level with more advanced techniques. In this series you will cover techniques like stone setting and forming while perfecting your fundamental skills. This series is an ideal next step for students who have taken Metals 1, or students with a working knowledge of piercing, sawing, and soldering.

Tuition: $265 + $50 materials fee

Materials: All materials will be provided but students are encouraged to bring stones, metal, and any tools they would like to use in class.

Location: Contemporary Craft (5645 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.

Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist

Stacy Rodgers is a studio jeweler living in Pittsburgh, PA. She received her BFA in Metalsmithing/Jewelry from the University of Kansas in 2007. Stacy creates limited-production and one-of-a-kind hand-pierced jewelry inspired by the intricate lines and negative shapes that reside within organic life. She sells her work at craft shows and galleries both locally and nationally. She was a finalist in the 2018 LEAP Awards and was a Top 5 finalist in 2017 and 2018 Halstead Grant Competition.
