Hosted as part of the FTI&#x27;s <a href="https://www.facadetectonics.org/events/2020wc" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">2020 World Congress</a> Workshop Series, this educational workshop intends to provide the participants with a deepened understanding of all aspects of metal use as it relates to building envelopes.This workshop will focus on the use of metal as a façade cladding material. Our presenters Stephan Wurster and Till Jackenkroll will cover the use of metal as a façade cladding material and cover a broad range of materials, such as Aluminum Stainless Steel and Bronze. This will be followed by an in-depth look at surface finishing and panel shaping (2d and 3d) as well as digital fabrication innovations inside the industry.This is an AIA-registered course. Attendees will receive 2 LU|HSW credits.Workshop Objectives<ol><li>Increase knowledge about all commonly used metals in facade design. </li><li>Explain digitally automated panel fabrication. </li><li>Explain the different ways metal can be formed.</li><li>Provide insights into the latest technological innovations. </li></ol><ol></ol>FeaturingSTEPHAN WURSTER | POHL FACADESAfter 8 years focusing on facade design at Zaha Hadid Architects in London and China , Stephan switched to facade construction and since 2018 has been running West Coast BD for Pohl Facades from Los Angeles. Stephan is a member of Façade Tectonics Institute and has lectured at institutions such as Columbia University in New York and Bilgi University in Istanbul. Refund Policy. The Facade Tectonics Institute will provide a 50% refund through July 6, 2020. No refunds will be provided past this date, however, you may transfer your registration to another individual. Refunds will be processed in the same payment method.
