Open metadata and open infrastructure are essential components of our shared open science goal, and heavily relied upon by metascientists for research on research.<a href="https://www.crossref.org" title="https://www.crossref.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Crossref</a> and other community members would like to provide a gathering place for those not registered for the <a href="https://metascience.info/" title="https://metascience.info/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Metascience</a> conference to watch some of the pre-conference symposia during the afternoon of the final day, to include the recording of the pre-conference symposium on "Using AI/LLMs for detecting scientific errors" plus one more in addition; please select your preferred topic after registering and we'll screen the most popular one!We'll start the screening around 1:45-2pm upstairs at the Marquis Cornwallis and some light refreshments will be provided.Everyone from the conference is also welcome to join afterwards to continue the discussions together over drinks and snacks.At around 4:30pm we'll have a brief introduction to open metadata and a short talk from the steering group of the <a href="https://barcelona-declaration.org/" title="https://barcelona-declaration.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information</a>, which is helping to work towards our community creating and using open metadata by default.
