Attention Astronomers, join us and be one the first to see all of the Messier Objects from Death Valley National Park’s future Night Sky Viewing Area! Even if you have done a Messier Marathon in the park before this will be your first chance to have access to this restricted area.

We have spots for 12 scopes and it will not be open to the public! So, bring a big scope enjoy our amazing night sky and help DVNHA raise the funds necessary to complete phase-1 work on the new night sky viewing area. This will be dusk to dawn with fellow astronomers in a new and unique area.

Each participant is required to sign a Participant Agreement.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Specific location and driving directions will be revealed after the ticket is purchased. The location is less than 1 mile North of the Furnace Creek Visitor Center followed by a short distance on a gravel road.

Participants can access the viewing site any time after 1 pm to set up their telescope.

Light snacks provided by DVNHA.

Port-o-potty on site.

Program ends at 6 AM, Sunday Mar 10.
