HOTBHN Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Coordinator Joshua Valentine and The Links, Inc. Waco-Central Texas Chapter have partnered to present an opportunity at the Heart of Texas Goodwill to the heart of Texas community to learn how MHFA can benefit you and those around you. MHFA is a program designed to equip you with the skills to identify and respond to signs of mental health and substance use problems in both adults and youth. Just like CPR equips you to help someone having a physical emergency, MHFA teaches you how to offer initial support to someone experiencing a mental health crisis.

The Links, Inc. Waco-Central Texas Chapter, founded in 1974, is an international organization with more than 12,000 civic-minded women committed to improving the lives of men, women, and children through service programs. This chapter supports and collaborates with various organizations in the Waco, Marlin, Temple, Harker Heights, Killeen, and surrounding communities. Organizations include the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, Susan G. Komen, Habitat for Humanity, Restoration Haven, Talitha Koum, and area schools.
