About this event

Mental Health First Aid will teach you how to support someone with a mental health problem or someone in a mental health crisis. Just like CPR or First Aid training for health issues, MHFA help support someone's emotional well-being.

This is a blended course: The first half is a 2.5-hour online course that you complete on your own. This training must be completed by 5pm on Wednesday, Sept 22. Details will follow a shortly after registration and once we have 10 participants.

The second half is a 6-hour in person course with MHFA trainers from MSU's Counseling & Psychological Services. This takes place from 9-4:00 on Friday, Sept. 30.

Participants must successfully complete both parts of the training to be certified. While this is FREE to you, each "seat" costs CPS $24.00 and is non-refundable once purchased, so please ensure you can complete and attend all of the training before registering. Once you are registered and 10 participants are enrolled, you will receive an email with all self-study and course details.

Seats will not be purchased and self-study won’t begin until we have a total of 10 participants, our minimum number required for the course to run.
