Mending for Good
Community mending circle, darning and patching clothes of our unhoused neighbors with the Orange Tent Project
We're collaborating with Orange Tent Project for a mending circle. OTP will collect clothing from our unhoused neighbors, wash them, and pass them to us to mend, patch, darn, and give some love to those in need of a little extra.
Mending experience suggested, but not required - we can help! A small amount of supplies will be available, so please bring your own supplies (needles, thimbles, thread, fabric scraps, scissors, hoop, etc).
We will meet at Portage Park on the West side of the park, under the trees. Welcome to bring a blanket, chairs, snacks, and a friend!
