Sharing your story is completely voluntary. You may find that you have a story to tell, or perhaps this isn’t the right time for you. You'll know when it’s the right moment. Even if you don’t share, you’ll have the opportunity to witness and connect with the stories of others.

How did Playback Theatre start?

Playback Theatre was founded in 1975 by Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas in New York State. They were inspired by Joseph Moreno's psychodrama, oral storytelling, and Paulo Freire's work. The original company performed at schools, prisons, and festivals to encourage people to share their stories.
