Memory & Meaning - Structural Continuum

Memory & Meaning - Structural Continuum

Little BIG HouseSummer Hill, NSW
Saturday, Apr 11 from 4 pm to 7 pm
Overview

Not everything needs to stay in your head. Structure a life that remembers with you - through systems, apps, AI and mindset shifts

What is the most important thing to remember? It's a loaded question with no right answer as it depends on where you are at in life. Regardless, today's technology offers unlimited ways to capture notes and tasks. But how do you know what's most suitable for you? This is what the next Utopia Rising event is going to answer at "Memory & Meaning 2.0 - Structural Continuum".

We live in a time where names, ideas, tasks, conversations, and commitments can easily slip through the cracks. Yet the most effective and productive people aren’t the ones trying to hold everything in their heads, but the ones who adopt a 'second brain' according to David Allen, author of "Getting Things Done" and arguably the most well known productivity expert.

So what is 'structural continuum' about? It is the exploration into what lifestyle your reminder systems actual allow you to live? This includes use of sequencing of triggers, alarms, task and sub-task allocation so your mind is free to be present and maximize meaning at hand. It’s about discovering how memory lives not only in the mind, but also in your habits, routines, workflows, relationships, and the tools you choose to trust.

Expect to learn some unique takeaways like:

- memory prioritization

- leveraging AI for recall

- utilizing other people to remember things for you

- how to create mental space to have more happy memories throughout your life

- remembering your future; remembering your legacy

WHEN: 4:00PM-7:00PM Saturday 11th April

WHERE: Little BIG House, Summer Hill

*healthy plant-based dinner included

ABOUT THE HOSTS

Menno Tabbernal is facilitator, founder of Ultimate Efficiency VA Services and ex-business coach with a passion for understanding how people learn, and create meaning. Menno’s interest in memory began early at school, driven by a belief that he had a “bad memory.” This led him to study and apply a wide range of memory techniques, eventually realising that memory is not fixed - it is a skill that can be trained and improved. Throughout his journey, he read extensively on the subject and developed practical methods that transformed how he now retains information. He has also taught English internationally, including in Japan as an exchange student, at a bank in Austria, and through memory-based learning classes in Spain. His passion for language learning has led him to speak six languages. Today, his passion is in leveraging AI tools in combination with his background in business, coaching, and memory to help professionals structure their life and work efficiently and time saving.
