is proud to join Family, Friends & Comrades of Sekou Mgobozi Abdullah Odinga

in a Memorial Tribute to the life and legacy of a devout Muslim, Beloved husband, father, 3-generation grandfather, veteran of the Black Freedom Struggle, and former u.s. held Political Prisoner of War.

This celebration wili be co-hosted by asha bandele & Aiyisha Obafemi with performances by Liza Jessie Peterson, Mutulu 'M1' Olugbala of dead prez, Impact Repertory Theatre.

Doors Open @ 6pm with reception & light refreshments. Tribute begins promptly @ 7pm.

No there isn't, but due to limited seating capacity, you must be registered in advance.

Is the Schomburg Library accessible via public transportation?

Yes, take the #2 or #3 trains to 135th...the Schomburg is on the corner of West 135th & Lenox Avenue...

Will food be served?

Light refreshments will be served as a 1/2 hour pre-reception gathering from 6pm-6:30pm.
