About this event

  • 1 hour

June 15, 2024 at 11 am for a zoom studio visit to Spokane member Mel Hewitt who will also be talking about the Spokane Print & Publishing Center. This arts non-profit provides workspace and equipment for individuals in the community through memberships as well as providing equipment for disciplines such as relief printing, letterpress, screen printing and book arts. Regular in person classes in those disciplines are also offered. Every year the organization holds a month-long celebration of the print and book arts, called Print Fest, in which it hosts talks, demonstrations, and exhibitions, and brings in outside artists to hold workshops. Mel is a fine binding diploma candidate at the American Academy of Book Binding and recently was awarded a scholarship for her studies this year.
