C﻿ome to the DWeb SF June Meetup-- in-person at the Internet Archive in SF, where you&#x27;ll have a chance to try the P2P tools and mesh network that will be supporting <a href="https://dwebcamp.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DWeb Camp</a> 2023 (June 21-25). Join us as <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/artbrock/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Art Brock</a>, Systems Architect &amp; co-founder of <a href="https://www.holochain.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Holochain</a>, shares Holo&#x27;s new project, Emergence, a local-first, P2P app built especially for our Camp! Emergence allows you to discover, tag, share notes and media about the sessions you attend. Then when we journey to <a href="https://dwebcamp.org/tomorrow/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">TOMORROW,</a> a full day of emergent sessions, the app allows campers to easily propose and schedule sessions online. Even when there is no central servers or internet!After a quick install, you can help us beta test the Emergence App before Camp.A﻿nd what about situations where the Internet is spotty or non-existent? (AKA--much of the world.) Come learn from two leaders in Community Networks, Esther Jang and Cody Harris, of the Seattle Community Network. They are leading the team that&#x27;s building a robust community network for our eight acre campsite. Come learn about mesh networks, and other ways offline communities can access the Internet.S﻿ome meet the campers, organizers, builders and dreamers coming to our biggest event of the year, <a href="https://dwebcamp.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DWeb Camp 2023</a> in Navarro, California. We&#x27;ll answer all your questions and spark ways for you to learn and get involved. <a href="https://www.artbrock.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">A﻿RT BROCK</a>Art Brock builds targeted currencies which shape the social dynamics of our emerging post-industrial economy. To that end, he's created more than a hundred designs for multi-currency systems, and his software company has built and deployed dozens of those systems. His current focus is launching <a href="https://www.holochain.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Holochain</a>, an alternative to blockchain for running fully P2P distributed applications.Holochain is an (open source) data integrity framework for powering distributed applications. Holochain empowers people and communities to reclaim control of their data, identity, and agreements from surveillance-based businesses. We can build and run the same web apps we’ve come to rely on (like social networks, communication, marketplaces, knowledge sharing).
