Join us for our free theatre series, Meet the Playwright! Meet the Playwright offers an inside look at the creative process through semi-staged readings by Queens-based BIIPOC playwrights and post-show conversations with the creative teams. This presentation features the play ImmerenSIS by Dezi Eivah Bing.
About The Play: ImmerenSiS introduces us to a singular heroine: a sharp, funny, and brilliantly complex woman navigating a world that insists on flattening her. At once magical and grounded, the play bends form and expectation as it explores ambition, survival, and self-definition beyond society’s narrow gaze. With biting wit and theatrical invention, ImmerenSiS refuses to reduce its central character to trauma or trope, offering instead a portrait of excellence, resilience, and unapologetic imagination.
