Tomasko’s latest exhibition at Millennium Gallery sees a new series of artworks created for the exhibition, inspired by paintings and sculpture previously displayed in the Graves Gallery. Hear about the process of selecting images from Sheffield Museums visual art collection as sources of inspiration and the creation of the original new pieces in response.
The conversation will be led by Omar Kholeif, who is currently based at The Glasgow School of Art leading the Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) programme. Their previous roles include Manilow Senior Curator and Director of Global Initiatives at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery, London, Senior Curator at Cornerhouse, Manchester, and Director of Collections and Senior Curator at the Sharjah Art Foundation, UAE.
This event is part of the programme of events complementing Liliane Tomasko: The Psyche of the Portrait exhibition at Millennium Gallery until 12 October 2025.
