This event is being held at a private location for artists in South Austin. No walk-ups allowed. Free parking!

every.Word Poetry is a poetry collective and nonprofit program under The Poet House, co-led by Jasmine Games and Michael Hatcher. It focuses on empowering voices through spoken word poetry, workshops, and open mic events. Mainly for an adult audience.

What is the Meet & Ink Write-In?

The Meet & Ink Write-In is a casual, two-hour workshop designed to bring writers and poets together to create, share, and refine their work in a supportive community setting. It’s perfect for sparking creativity, finding inspiration, and connecting with fellow wordsmiths.

Do I need prior experience to attend a workshop?

No prior experience is necessary. Our workshops are designed for writers of all skill levels.

Who are the facilitators for every.Word Poetry workshops?

Our workshops are led by experienced poets and educators, including Jasmine Games (@jasminegamespoetry), the Artistic Director of The Poet House and an award-winning poet and theatre maker, and Michael Hatcher (@mikekpz_poetry), the Executive Director of The Poet House.
