Mike Cordonnier is the CEO and Co-Founder of Carlsmed, an EvoNexus graduate company personalizing spine surgery with AI-driven patient-specific plans and implantable devices. Mike is a seasoned MedTech operator and entrepreneur with 25+ years leadership, including roles at NuVasive, Ellipse Technologies, Zimmer Biomet and Orchid Orthopedics. Starting with a team of two, Mike took Carlsmed through 3 successful financing rounds, raising in excess of $40M and achieving product FDA clearance and CMS breakthrough designation.

Swamy Vijayan, Ph.D.: Co-Founder & CEO, Zafrens; Founder & Former CEO, Omniome

Dr. Swamy Vijayan is a serial entrepreneur, having run 3 companies as founder & CEO including Zafrens, Plexium and EvoNexus graduate company Omniome, which was acquired for $800M in 2021 by Pacific BioSciences. Swamy has deep experience bringing interdisciplinary technologies to market. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Swamy worked across optics, molecular biology, nanofabrication and computational analysis at various genomics companies, including managing research on novel sequencing technologies at Illumina as Nanobiology Group Leader.

Joshua Windmiller: Co-Founder & Former CTO, Biolinq; Sr. Director of Advanced Research & Technology, Dexcom

Dr. Josh Windmiller is an internationally-recognized thought leader in biosensors and bioelectronics. He co-founded Electrozyme LLC, later becoming CTO of Biolinq Inc., an EvoNexus company that has recently raised $105M Series B round. Josh's research has led to the publication of over 40 peer-reviewed articles in leading scientific journals and he is a holder of over 50 issued and pending patents. He is Senior Member of the IEEE, an elected member of Eta Kappa Nu, and a Certified Licensing Professional. Josh has recently joined Dexcom as Senior Director of Advanced Research & Technology.

Gene has been involved with EvoNexus since its founding as selection committee member, portfolio company mentor and executive.
