Overview

Design an innovative adjustable Allen key using CAD in MECU’s design case competition. Test your creativity and engineering skills!

MECU Design Case Comp

Join the Mechanical Engineering Course Union (MECU) for an exciting CAD Design Case Competition where creativity, engineering knowledge, and design skills come together. In this challenge, participants will use CAD software to design an adjustable Allen key that improves functionality and usability.

Competitors will work individually or in teams to develop a practical and innovative design, applying principles of mechanical design, manufacturability, and ergonomics. At the end of the competition, teams will present their designs and explain the engineering decisions behind their solutions. Designs will be evaluated based on innovation, functionality, feasibility, and overall design quality.

This event is a great opportunity to strengthen your CAD skills, gain design experience, collaborate with peers, and showcase your engineering creativity. Whether you're new to CAD or an experienced designer, all mechanical engineering students are encouraged to participate.

Come test your design skills, think outside the hex, and compete for prizes while gaining valuable hands-on engineering experience!
