MDT Foundational Training

MDT Foundational Training

Kiamichi Tech - HugoHugo, OK
Wednesday, Apr 22 from 9 am to 4 pm
Overview

Explore CAC & MDT roles in child abuse cases, and how collaboration and case review lead to stronger outcomes for children and families.

***Each participant should be registered using their own name and contact information. To ensure fairness and accurate attendance records, registrations are limited to one seat per person. We kindly ask that attendees not register multiple individuals under the same name or attempt to reserve seats for others.

If you are registering on behalf of others (for example, as an administrative assistant or coordinator), please complete a separate registration for each individual using that person’s name and contact information. If you are unsure whether someone has already been registered, please contact Madison Wingate at madison.wingate@occy.ok.gov before submitting another registration.

Effective responses to child abuse require strong collaboration. This training introduces the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) model and the critical role of multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) in coordinating investigations. Participants will learn the distinct roles of each core discipline and examine how MDT collaboration and case review strengthen decision-making and improve outcomes for children.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the CAC Movement and the purpose of the MDT approach to child abuse
  • Identify roles and responsibilities of each of the core disciplines of the MDT
  • Discuss the value of the MDT response, MDT collaboration, and case review in the investigation of child abuse.
