Sergii Iakymov, Director of the Mars Desert Research Station, the world's largest and longest-running Mars analog facility in the world, will be joining our Mars Society Chicago chapter on Sunday, May 26th at 3pm CT for a special virtual tour of the MDRS facility in southern Utah.

Originally from Ukraine, Sergii is a veteran analog astronaut, having participated in four crew missions on the MDRS campus as commander, crew engineer and crew health & safety officer with Crews 283, 271, 266 and 265. He was also the long-time Assistant Director of MDRS before assuming the lead role last year.

Those attending the virtual tour of MDRS will be able to submit questions to Sergii about analog work and life in one of the most Mars-like environments in the world. Please join us!
