<H2>We're hacking Minecraft for medical education!</H2>
There are three main problems that people newly-diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes often face:

They're young - 8-15 years.

<LI>
Managing it requires a whole new mindset around eating.
</LI>
<LI>
They don't know anyone else with the condition.
</LI>
</OL>
 MCT1 will introduce Minecraft characters with Type 1 Diabetes. Players will learn new habits of testing blood glucose levels, calculating carbohydrates, and taking insulin doses - and they'll do it in a safe, fun environment. They'll also gain access to an instant community through the game.
We'll be working in teams, each focused on a different project. You'll receive an email before the event, giving you a choice of teams and some preliminary information that you can use to start planning your contribution.

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No; but you will need parental supervision if you're under 18 years of age.
Is food and coffee included?
Yes! We have some awesome sponsors who've provided food and beverages for the weekend.
