Tired of late night deploys and off-hours server maintenance? Learn how to scale and cycle servers in AWS without taking systems offline. This presentation will walk you through basic scenarios using docker-compose as a starting point. You will see how a spring-boot application can be deployed to a cluster, monitored, and updated with docker-compose and AWS-ECS cli.

Presenter Bio
Thomas is a senior software engineer at The Washington Post where he works on site engineering, story tools, and interactive page features. He is an agile developer and tech lead with 13 years experience in the industry. His previous work covers political campaigns, life sciences, bioinformatics, and translational research.
