Join EFMP for Journal & Java, a Great Outdoors-themed crafting session where you'll learn how to make a unique journal spread using everyday materials like paper, stickers, and stamps. Junk Journaling is all about using random, everyday items to create something fun, beautiful, and personal. We will have all of the supplies ready for you plus coffee and sweets will be available for purchase from 58 Sweets! This event is geared more towards adults but kids are always welcome to hang out at the kids table with their very own crafts to complete.


Special Note: Make your journal even more personal by bringing your own "junk" from your spring time adventures! Items like receipts, menus, brochures, photos, or cards work perfectly to capture your memories. Looking to trade supplies? Feel free to bring your own in for our community swap table.

What is junk journaling?

Junk journaling is a creative way to document memories using everyday items like paper, stickers, stamps, and even things you'd typically throw away - such as receipts, movie ticket stubs, brochures, or paper menus. It's all about turning "junk" into something meaningful and beautiful.

Can my children come?

Of course! This event is more geared towards adults but families are absolutely welcome. If kids join, they can enjoy activities at the kid's tables, though they will not receive their own set of junk journaling supplies.

Do I need to bring anything?

All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring personal items like receipts, tickets, menus, or photos from your spring celebrations to make your journal even more special.

Is this event open to all?

MCCS EFMP events are open to all sofa status members regardless of rank, branch affiliation, or EFMP enrollment status.
