Read to a Shelter Dog this Holiday Season

Montgomery County Animal Shelter

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a Shelter Dog! Last reading event, Who Rescued Who and MCAS brought in over 100 folks to read to dogs on the 4th of July! At times, as rescue groups, as well as Shelter workers it’s an uphill battle every single day. These reading events bring the community together for a great cause.The peace this event brings to the dogs and cats of Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas County is moving, and heartwarming. Animals that would’ve been otherwise terrified in their kennels, Fast asleep to the sound of human voices reading everything from children’s books about dogs to Required reading for work. Let&#x27;s get bring the community together!
