July 10, 2024 Maybell Diversion Tour Itinerary
8:45 Meet Maybell park
9:00 Leave Maybell park-drive (carpool 4WD) and walk to site
10:15 Arrive at diversion
11:15 drive/walk back to parking in Maybell
12:00 drive to Loudy Simpson East Picnic Shelter (approx. ½ hour)
12:30-12:45 Lunch provided by YWGBRT @ East Picnic Shelter
1:15 boat ramp tour near picnic area
1:45 drive (carpool) 1 mile to look at white water park.
2:00 white water park tour
3:00 Big River Meeting
4:00 PEPO
6-9 YWG BRT Meeting-dinner served
Some things to consider:
- 9:00 am sharp departure from Maybell Park. Please come early. We will shuttle in 4wd vehicles to the start of the “hike”.
- The hike is 1.5 miles in length on variable terrain. Please be prepared by wearing closed toed shoes and have clothing for changing weather. We will be stopping along the way to hear from Maybell Irrigation District, J-U-B Engineers (the project design team), and JHL Constructors (the contractor who is in charge of the work) and hopefully time for Q & A.
- Water, snack, sunscreen, hat and a camera are recommended.
