Free Minds Book Club & Writing Workshop uses the literary arts, workforce development, and violence prevention to connect incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youths and adults to their voices, their purpose, and the wider community. Our vision is that every Free Minds member is able to access the necessary opportunities, inspiration, and support to write new chapters in their lives.

Join us for Write Week from May 24th-31st! You will be able to read and respond to poetry by incarcerated Free Minds members.

Have you ever wished you could participate in Free Minds Write Night, but couldn&#x27;t make the Wednesday evening timeslot? Well, this month we&#x27;re trying something new--a whole Write WEEK! F﻿rom May 24th to May 31st, you&#x27;re invited to connect with incarcerated poets through a mutual exchange of creativity, inspiration, and hope.R﻿SVP to receive a link to a virtual whiteboard where you will be able to read and respond to our members&#x27; poetry at your own pace, providing valuable comments alongside other volunteers. The virtual whiteboard will be open for comments on Wednesday, May 24th at 7 pm ET, and will remain open until May 31st. Feel free to take your time and read the poems on a schedule that&#x27;s convenient to you!A﻿fter the Write Week ends, we will print and mail all of the comments to the poets who are incarcerated in federal prisons across the country.
