WHERE DO I PARK?

Accepted Answer

We encourage Uber, Lyft, VTA Light Rail 902 Japantown/ Ayer Station, or a DD friend. Free parking is between Taylor St. and Hedding St. in the neighborhoods. Street parking in the center of Japantown is managed by SmartMeters (accepting coins and credit cards).
The parking rate is $2 per hour.

Question 2

DO DESIGNATED DRIVERS HAVE ACCESS TO THE PRIVATE AREAS WHERE BEERWALK TAKES PLACE?

Accepted Answer

Designated drivers do not have access to the closed-off areas where the event is held, such as 7 Bamboo. However, they are welcome to wait for Beerwalkers inside Jack's main bar with a valid ID. Designated drivers also have access to Jtown Pizza's front patio and bar area.

MINORS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN BARS LIKE JACK'S AND 7 BAMBOO, HOW ABOUT THE RESTAURANT, JTOWN PIZZA?

Our event is geared towards adults, and while we ask that children do not attend, they may accompany individuals to the front of Jtown Pizza's patio only. Only guests with wristbands are allowed in the upstairs dining room, upper deck and back patio of Jtown Pizza.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Accepted Answer

For everyone's safety, we kindly request that you keep your beloved pets at home. There are times when our private areas may become crowded with guests, and we want to avoid any accidents or mishaps involving leashes or dog strollers. Please understand and leave your dogs at home.

WHERE DO I START?

Accepted Answer

Guests can start anywhere and return at any location at any time during the event! Do not loose your glass and keep a postcard that has a map. There are maps posted at each location and on Instagram and Facebook.

Question 6

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY TICKET?

Accepted Answer

Unlimited tastings from 12 breweries for 3 hours with a custom souvenir 16 oz glass. When you buy a ticket for this event, you are also making a meaningful contribution to the San Jose Japantown Cultural Society, as well as various local and major non-profits.

HOW DO I RECEIVE UNLIMITED BEER?

Accepted Answer

Present your wristband and souvenir glassware to the beer reps when approaching the table. Do not share beer with non-ticket holders. If you're caught sharing beer, your glass will be taken away with no refund. Tickets are available to purchase at thebeerwalk.com

Question 8

EVEN THOUGH IT'S UNLIMITED TASTINGS, CAN A GUEST BE CUT OFF?

Accepted Answer

Our security, volunteers and staff members of each Dipsomania location will cut off a guest who seems to be too intoxicated according to the Alcohol Beverage Control. There are no refunds.

Question 9

CAN I BRING MY BEER OUTSIDE OF THE BEERWALK AREA?

Accepted Answer

No, all tastings must be consumed where The Beerwalk is hosted or be dumped before leaving the area. Be respectful of the rules, do not consume beer walking around the Japantown neighborhood.

Question 10

WHAT IF I BREAK OR LOOSE MY GLASS?

Accepted Answer

Keep your glass with you at all times. If your glass breaks or is lost, you'll need to walk back to check in before 4:00pm or walk to Jack’s after 4:00pm and show your wristband to the staff. We will look up your ticket again to see if you have already checked in.
