Amy's watercolor art experiences are perfect for the beginning artist. She has a step-by-step approach that introduces techniques that will best help her students paint the class topic at hand. She encourages her students to be gentle with themselves as they learn something new. She believes when the process is the best part of painting experience. There are challenges and also a lot to celebrate in the art form. Amy enjoys painting in a loose wet-on-wet styles,, letting the water create beautiful blossoms and texture.

For all her classes she uses high quality paints, paper and brushes. She provides all the materials and 30 years of dedicated watercolor expertise. She also provides a simple outline drawing the subject. This helps her students focus on the magic and fun of watercolor painting without stressing over the accuracy of a drawing. This is especially important for the first-time participant.
