How the event will go:
- This event will be on Zoom. We will begin by introducing ourselves with names, pronouns, access needs, and what interested you in joining our community connection session.
- After introductions, the core member will give deeper insights on our origin story, who we are, and what were about.
- We will open the floor to any questions or thoughts that you may want to share with us.
(It's great to have the option to take notes but know that an email with many links and guidance on what we talked about as a group will be sent to you soon after our session together)
Accessibility notes for this event:
- This event will be presented in English.
- Computer generated captioning will be provided.
- This is a conversational gathering but your participation can be as interactive as you'd like. You can be off camera and/or off mic.
- For accessibility all texts mentioned in zoom group chat will be repeated aloud to the group at the nearest opening in conversation.
- There will be no more than 20 people in the session.
- The gathering will be 1 hour long without a formal break in-between. You are more than welcome to take a break as needed.
- There will be a welcome page that reads "Hey all! Welcome to our community session. Feel free to take a deep breathe, drink a glass of water, settle." Other than that, there will be no other video content or slides.
- There will be no recording of the event available after.
