Hoodoos (irregular columns of rock) exist on every continent, but here is the largest concentration found anywhere on Earth. Situated along a high plateau at the top of the Grand Staircase, the park's high elevations include numerous life communities, fantastic dark skies, and geological wonders that defy description. HORSESHOE BEND & GLEN CANYON (1 Day)

A social media darling, Horseshoe Bend has become one of the most recognized and visited places in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. LODGING

We will be staying in a big house with 4 bedrooms, 8 beds (1 king beds, 4 queen beds, 3 single beds), 3 baths, a living room, and a full kitchen. We will max out at 13 people. The house is 33 minutes to Zion Canyon, 2h11m to Bryce Canyon, 2h18m to Horseshoe Bend and 2h24m from LAS airport.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Daily round trip transportation from the house to all attraction destinations is included. LAS round trip airport transportation to the house is included if the flights are the same as listed above. If your arrival flight and/or departure flight are within 15 minutes of our flights indicated above, we can still accommodate you on airport transportation. We can use the vehicle to go out for dinners, and grocery shopping as well.

TRIP PLAN

Depart on May 17th Friday 6:00 PM from Newark (EWR) Airport. Please arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance to flight departure time.

Return on May 22nd 11:44 AM from Las Vegas (LAS) Airport. We will plan to arrive at airport at least 2 hours before flight departure time.

This 6 days 5 nights Zion & Bryce Canyon trip includes: 2 days at Zion National Park, 1 day at Bryce Canyon National Park and 1 day at Horseshoe Bend & Glen Canyon, 5 nights of lodging at a big vacation house, two persons will share a king/queen bed. We will do our best to match your roommate(s). All ground transportation, including daily round trip transportation from house to national parks & other destinations, transportation on activity day and to dinners & grocery shopping, and round trip airport transportation to and from the house if your flights are the same one mentioned above. Active Levels (Moderate): Average 2 to 4 miles hiking daily; less than 800 feets elevation gain.

TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1:

Morning: Start the day with the Emerald Pools Trail, a moderate 2.5-mile loop with an elevation gain of 620 feet. We’ll encounter the Lower, Middle, and Upper Emerald Pools, each offering unique views and water features.

Afternoon: After lunch, take a scenic drive to Checkerboard Mesa and stop at the Canyon Overlook Trail for a 1-mile hike that’s perfect for sunset views.

Day 2:

Morning: Take the Zion Canyon Shuttle to the Temple of Sinawava. Along the way, hike to the Weeping Rock and enjoy the paved Riverside Walk.

Afternoon, we can take the shuttle to several more view points, or optionally, we can hike first portion of a challenging hike to Angels Landing. This 5-mile trail features sheer drop-offs and narrow paths, leading to breathtaking views. We will skip the final half-mile which requires careful navigation with chains for safety.

Day 3:

Morning: Start your day early with the hoodoos from Sunrise Point. Take the park’s scenic drive to visit major viewpoints like Inspiration Point, Bryce Point, and Natural Bridge.

Afternoon: After lunch, hike the 3-mile Queen’s Garden and Navajo Loop Trail that takes us down into the amphitheater, passing iconic formations such as Thor’s Hammer and Wall Street. End the day with the stunning sunset views over the amphitheater from Sunset Point.

Day 4:

Morning: Visit the Glen Canyon Dam and Antelope Point. These are great spots to enjoy the scenic beauty and take some memorable photos. Optionally we can book an Antelope Canyon tour with additional cost. Suggested lunch at Ja’di’To’oh on the Marina docks for a delightful meal with a view.

Afternoon: Visit Horseshoe Bend. The hike to the overlook is 0.75 miles and offers a stunning view of the Colorado River making its famous 270-degree bend. Remember to bring plenty of water, as it can get quite hot. If we time it correctly, the sunset is the breathtaking at Horseshoe Bend.

* Early Birds $349 above mentioned lodging, ground transportation package and entrance to above mentioned national parks & other destination. Antelope Canyon tour is additional cost. (Price will go up on April 27th or when 50% of all tickets are sold, whichever comes first). The cost is $200 less than typical price since this is our first group trip to these destinations although the host has been to all the locations mentioned, so book soon.
