About Our Speaker:
Terri DeBoer, Meteorologist, WXMI-TV
Terri DeBoer has spent nearly four decades in the television and radio broadcast industry. She began her career in the late 1980's as a television news reporter and anchor; and eventually went back to college to become a meteorologist. Much of her career has been spent in West Michigan; first at WWMT-TV; then at WOOD-TV; and currently at WXMI-TV. Terri earned the American Meteorological Society's Television Seal of Approval; becoming the first woman in the entire state of Michigan to earn that credential. In addition to delivering West Michigan’s “wake up” weather, Terri also served as an original co-host of the daily lifestyle show, eightWest, from October 2009-September 2023.
In 2022, Terri was honored to have been inducted into the Michigan Emmy’s Silver Circle; an award presented to television professionals who have impacted the media and their communities through more than 25-years of service. She is an active community leader; serving on numerous boards and volunteering to support events and activities.
Terri has become an author, speaker, consultant and coach.
Personally, she is a wife, mother and grandmother.
