T﻿he Line Up:<a href="https://www.instagram.com/talaymusic/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Max Talay</a> is your friendly neighborhood transsexual singer-songwriter. Playing with Carmen Castillo and Swan Real as a power trio, his songs kick you in the gut and melt your little heart. In addition to touring the states and beyond these days as a guitarist for acts like Ezra Furman and Maude LaTour, Max has been slinging his songs around the New York open mic and club scene for a righteous decade or so. Max’s newest single “Trangender Dreams” is available everywhere on June 17th. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/prettyprettyband/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">P﻿rettyPretty</a> is a queer anti-folk band driven by loud harmonies and an infectious sense of fun. They bring the house down in eclectic locations everywhere from classical recital halls to leather bars to experimental theatre spaces to Park Slope family festivals.<a href="https://www.instagram.com/skylarpocket/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">S﻿kylar Pocket</a> is a New Jersey based band fronted by childhood friends Skylar Graham and Zach Shectman. The often upbeat surf rock/twee elements of the band are deliberately cut with Sky’s unflinchingly gentle and prayerful lyrics to tell stories of queerness and transness with values heavily based in the power of community, compassion, and love. The recording of the band’s entire discography go hand in hand with these principles as they were done entirely in a bedroom in Zach’s childhood home.<a href="https://www.instagram.com/africanarchy/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">sandile </a>s a bug living under a cool rock. sandile is when you hear a word said out loud that you’d only ever read, then you realize you’ve been saying it wrong in your head this whole time. sandile is your boss not noticing you’ve been stealing toilet paper for weeks. sandile is the granola bar you forgot is in your bag. sandile is a warm sock straight out of the dryer, and their music is a melodramatic romp thru all the rock subgenres—one that takes you from the depths of a most depressive episode to the euphoric highs of unadulterated gender actualization.THE SPACE (*please read*):Wet Spot is an outdoor DIY performance venue in Bedstuy. The event space is located in a private backyard accessible by stairs. Please reach out if you need more accessible accommodations to enter the space.
