Matt Kampe And The Hub is an eclectic mix of funk,rock, jazz and soul fused together with extended jams. The first album is composed, and written completely by Matt Kampe, of Jelly, and is performed with a live band. This band’s constant members include Matt Kampe and Lady Cali from their jazz/funk duo “Lady & the Kampe”. Matt Kampe plays guitar, various horns, keys, and bass in this project. Jager Soss is the primary drummer and rotates with Henry Thomas and some others. Darian Cunning, Mike Piercey and Matt Kampe all alternate on bass and guitar parts through out each live show. Matt and Cali sing lead on vocals, while Jager and Darian also sing a couple tunes. The album draws from D’Angelo, George Harrison-esque guitar solos, and New Orleans vibes at times. Expect to dance, and always be surprised
