as MIT students work with community members to create MathScape models based on local high school and middle school students' ideas.
MathScapes seek to build on the cultural knowledge and practices of families to:

INSPIRE and support children to discover, playfully explore and talk about the mathematics in the world around them.

EMPOWER and build the capacity of adults to initiate and support positive early math interactions and conversations with children.

TRANSFORM public spaces into resources for early math learning.

CONNECT learning between home, community and classrooms.
