Overview

Join Hey Birdie for our annual ritual of release and reclamation - a space to lay down what you’ve been carrying and return to yourself.

Maternal Burn: A Womb Cacao Ceremony with Helen Knight Hey Birdie’s Annual Ritual — Year 5

For the fifth year, Hey Birdie gathers in ritual to honor the maternal archetype in all her forms— the one who tends, who gives, who holds, who creates… and the one who is learning to receive.

Maternal Burn is our annual ceremony of release and reclamation— a space to lay down what has been carried, often for too long, and to return to what is truly ours.

This year, we are honored to partner with Helen Knight, who will guide us through a womb-centered cacao ceremony and shamanic journey, deepening this ritual through ancient practice, embodied wisdom, and sacred song.

The Ceremony

We gather in sacred ceremony to return home to the womb— the seat of our power, intuition, creation, and deep inner knowing.

Through the gentle medicine of ceremonial cacao, you’ll be guided inward— into a space to soften, to feel, to be held, and to remember who you are beneath the noise of a world that so often forgets to honor mothers.

Together, we open a circle to be witnessed, supported, and celebrated— not for what we do, but for who we are.

On this Mother’s Day, we honor:

  • The mothers we are
  • The mothers we’ve had
  • The lineage we carry within us

We create space to tend to the mother wound— to release, to grieve, to forgive, and to reconnect with the nurturing essence that lives within us all.

As the cacao moves through your body, it awakens your creative life force— your ability to birth ideas, visions, and new ways of being.

Your womb becomes a portal of clarity, truth, and inspiration.

The Maternal Burn Ritual

Rooted in Hey Birdie’s five-year ritual lineage, this ceremony weaves together:

  • Reflection — honoring what has been held
  • Embodiment — connecting to the body as a site of memory and truth
  • Ritual + Fire — releasing inherited burdens and outdated roles
  • Reclamation — returning to your own rhythm, desire, and inner authority

Inspired by practices of offering and release, this is a space where:

  • Grief and tenderness are welcome
  • Silence is sacred
  • Movement becomes medicine

What You May Experience

With cacao as your guide, you may find:

  • Your heart opening
  • Your intuition strengthening
  • Your inner voice becoming clearer

Stress and overwhelm begin to soften as you are invited into a space of deep receiving— something so many who carry the maternal role are rarely given.

Here, you are held. Here, you are enough.

This Space Is For You If…

  • You’ve been holding more than feels sustainable
  • You’re ready to release patterns, roles, or expectations that no longer serve
  • You feel called to reconnect with your body, your womb, and your inner knowing
  • You long to be in community—witnessed, supported, and not alone

You do not need to be a mother.

You only need to be someone who has mothered in any form— people, work, relationships, identities— and is ready to return to yourself.

Come As You Are

You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to explain.

You only need to come willing to remember what is yours to keep— and what is ready to be released.

You are the source. You are the creator. You are worthy of being deeply nourished and celebrated.
