Please join us and embark on a journey of tranquility at the "Matcha Time for Mindfulness" workshop.
Discover the art of making matcha tea and find an oasis of calm in a bustling world. Immerse yourself in serenity and experience the meditative practice that provides a refreshing escape from the demands of everyday life. We will provide both traditional Japanese confectionery and non-Japanese traditional sweets. You will make 2 or 3 bowls of matcha to practice, using the highest quality matcha from Uji, Kyoto.
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn:
1. About Matcha: The origins and benefits of matcha, the vibrant green powdered tea.
2. The Importance of the Way of Tea (known as the Tea Ceremony): Discover how the Way of Tea as a path to mindfulness, cultivating focus, and creating a sense of peace and awareness.
3. Etiquette when Drinking Matcha: To relax and enjoy matcha, be aware of these manners before drinking a bowl of matcha.
4. Matcha Preparation by yourself: Gain practical skills and step-by-step guidance on preparing matcha in the comfort of your own home. Master the art of whisking and serving matcha, ensuring an authentic and delightful experience every time.
