Mental health in football - being mentally match fit
Football can contribute to people's fitness, happiness and quality of life. In this informal, engaging workshop, find out how it can also support positive mental health and wellbeing. The evening will feature video contributions from professional players and managers, and will be facilitated by mental health experts. We'll talk about what mental health means, causes for mental health problems, and how everyone can help someone who's experiencing difficulties - in a football context, and more widely. The session is aimed at coaches, players, volunteers and officials involved in grassroots / community clubs.
Delivered by The FA in association with Mind, the Football League Trust, Newcastle United Foundation and QPR in the Community Trust.
