Successful planting is the result of careful and methodical design and specification. It should be a key tool in the landscape architect’s repertoire. The subject itself is currently not taught comprehensively with most literature aimed at garden design.
For many years we’ve practiced a methodology which follows a logical process that can be applied across the globe in any location, scale and environment. Knowing how to be pro-active, avoid problems and manage it all in the most efficient way is key to success.
An approach that doesn’t require a vast knowledge of plant names to get started. Instead we focus on understanding the various planting typologies and how to specify them, to create resilient and manageable softscapes that are appropriate to the site, brief and budget.
This seminar includes contributions from a Soil Scientist, a major Nursery Supplier and an award winning Landscape Contractor whom we, as a profession, should understand better so that we can deliver designs that are successful and enduring, whatever the constraints.
We cover the journey from concept to completion and beyond.
