This practical, educator-focused course is designed to help you transform basic data tracking into powerful tools for visualizing student performance and growth. During this workshop, you’ll gain hands-on experience with core skills, design strategies, and custom dashboards that can streamline your classroom management.
Part 1: Core Google Sheets Skills
Start with the essentials. Learn how to structure and organize your Google Sheets, use essential formulas, and apply design techniques like color coding and conditional formatting—all tailored to help you track student progress. By the end of this session, you’ll confidently be able to build custom trackers and visual representations of student data.
Part 2: Google Sheets Design & Visualization
Build on your foundational skills by integrating design strategies to turn basic data into visually appealing tools that capture student growth. You’ll explore progress bars, donut charts, and checkboxes to effectively track and visualize performance in an engaging and accessible way.
Part 3: Custom Dashboards & Classroom Rollout
Take your skills further by crafting custom dashboards that provide a comprehensive view of student progress over time. Learn how to roll out, manage, and maintain your classroom dashboards to support both individual and class-wide tracking. By the end of the session, you’ll have the tools and knowledge to implement a streamlined system for monitoring student achievement.

Not really. This course is designing for the full spectrum of comfort levels with Google Sheets.
Mastering Google Sheets is designed for student performance tracking, using visual charts to help students visualize their own growth. There is just one student used per sheet. Mastering Looker Studio focuses more on larger data sets to help analyze large amounts of data or student trends.
Sure does. You can attend just one or both. They both involve data but consider different approaches for different information. Odds are, if youre interested in one, you'd likely be interested and benefit from both!
Yes, and at no charge! The East Bridgwater Jr/Sr High School will provide a wonderful spread of coffee, water, pastries, muffins and donuts, etc for breakfast. For lunch, they will provide sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, dessert, water and soda.

We will be ready for you by 7:35, and plan to start at 8:00. Please feel free to come early to check in, get settled, and enjoy some coffee and breakfast before we begin.
