About this event

At gravity 9 we specialise in digital modernisation. Moving large organisations from outdated antiquated applications and build new products that provide easier integration, modern user interfaces and modern architecture in order to support the loads, extensibility and user expectations of modern consumers and employees. Any modernisation effort requires a deep understanding of the current state from a number of perspectives.

This session looks at an approach called Domain Story Telling which allows us to describe the behaviour and interactions of both humans and systems in order to fulfil a given business domain. The storytelling format is super accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences which makes the validation process a natural conversation with stakeholders.

In addition, storytelling strongly compliments domain driven design, allowing us to derive currents state into core sub domains. Here we will explain the basic concepts of domain storytelling, walk through some examples, and build out a current state diagram, then talk through the methods to help us derive sub domains from a current state storytelling diagram.
