How long is this event?

We will go through a lecture in about 30 minutes of time, and the rest of the time will be spent in small groups working through simulations and skills stations.

What should I bring with me and what should I wear?

A government approved form of ID is required (Drivers license/Passport). Hospital ID will not be approved. Other than that, an open mind and an eagerness to learn! Please wear scrubs. The simulation is NOT a wet simulation, but we still want you to feel that you are in a clinical environment.

Will there be food?

Yes! We will have a light meal for you all to eat so you will not go hungry.

Can I come and go?

We ask that you stay for the full time of the event. If you have to leave early please let us know ahead of time.

How should I prepare for this event?

We are embracing the inverted classroom style of simulation. Pre-read materials will be sent ahead of time!

Any health care professional who is interested in learning more about simulation and/or the JADA System!

What medical devices will be incorporated into the simulation?

Accepted Answer

We will be focusing the simulations on postpartum hemorrhage scenarios. Laborie's Medical Device, the JADA System, will be utilized during these simulations. Other devices within the Maternal and Child Health portfolio of products from Laborie may be featured as well.

Visiting the CLASS Center

The CLASS Center is located on the fourth floor of Ross Hall on the George Washington University campus at the intersection of 23rd St NW and I (EYE) St NW.

Driving and Parking

There are a few parking options nearby. You may use ParkMobile metered street parking. You may also park in a paid parking garage. The closest one is the parking garage for the Science &  Hall (Entrance on H Street between 22nd and 23rd Streets NW).
