This program is a hybrid initiative. The form you're filling out serves as an expression of interest. Expect to hear from Marriage Matters case manager shortly to finalize both your assessment and registration process.

Marriage Matters is a free, evidence-based 8-week program, designed to provide essential information and resources for married couples to develop and maintain healthy relationships. Learn all about effective communication skills, respect, trust, intimacy, financial literacy, and all the tools you need to take your marriage to the next level! Since it is a no-cost program, we highly encourage to register and save your spot for the next cohort, spaces are limited. Workshops are offered in English and Spanish.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Marriage Matters serves married couples ages 18 and older and is available to all eligible persons, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, orientation, or religion.

Mrs. Althea McMillan, a retired Miami-Dade County Public Schools teacher, founded the organization in 1992. For more than a quarter-century, we have provided youth and families in South Florida with tools to make better decisions about relationships, money, work, and family life. The organization uses evidence-based curricula to teach adolescents and parents about strategies for building healthy relationships. We deliver educational programming to students and parents online, and in-person throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. Be Strong International was nominated for best practices in addressing risky behaviors.

We are sponsored by The Children's Trust in order to benefit the families of Miami-Dade County. Through their support we are able to offer free online or on-site parent workshops.
