Event description

Description

Broward Cultural Division launches a new year of marketing funding for local arts organizations and artists through its Cooperative Marketing Program.

New this year will be a combined happy hour at 8 am for existing or interested clients and local media representatives to facilitate expanded relationships and opportunities for everyone.

Greeting guests will be Edilson Cremonese on his bicycle-powered coffee machine, CoffeeHub Café, and a bar of artful donuts.

Arts organizations and artists are invited to attend this free morning to learn about the marketing program – including its newest initiatives incorporating digital and social media, television opportunities and utilizing data – and network with more than 35 local newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations, and more.

Topics covered from 9-10 am include:

  • Tourism and the importance of reaching Broward’s 15 million annual visitors by Ina Lee, TravelHost Magazine
  • Social and digital media assets by Francis Acea, Miami Art Guide
  • Market research by Martin Gould, Data Clique
  • Print and digital message continuity by Amy Sherit, Culture Owl

Happy hour will resume after the 10-minute presentations with raffle prizes and the opportunity to continue networking with media representatives or to book ads with Ed King, the program’s manager and liaison for media packages and ad buys.

ABOUT THE COOPERATIVE MARKETING PROGRAM

The Cooperative Marketing Program – provided by Broward Cultural Division and facilitated through ArtServe – provides matching funds for advertising, as well as marketing guidance and educational workshops year-round to help local artists and arts organizations thrive.

We will outline the 2017-2018 guidelines, requirements and procedures. Current and new not-for-profit Broward-based cultural organizations and artists that expect to utilize the program are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop since the procedures and guidelines change from year to year.
